Contact Lenses - Update

As of today, I have been able to successfully wear my contacts! *claps*

I know, right!? Exciting!!

I went in to my optometrist for another "training" and found out that while I was trying to put in my contacts I was letting go of my eyelids, which made me blink. You can't really put in contacts when you keep blinking! I also found out that, because of my eye shape, (which I talked about in my last post) I need to make sure that I don't curl my eye lashes underneath my lenses. I know, that sounds weird, but I was basically getting my eyelashes under my contacts which flicked them out of my eyes and hurt like fire.

Since then, I've learned a few tricks that make putting them in way easier! I'm really proud of myself! I wanted to give up after the first week, but now I'm wearing my contacts full time :) Several people at my school have commented on how pretty my eyes are, because my contacts hid their sparkle or something like that. My eyes are green, so they seem very average to me.

The only hiccup that I had after learning how to get them in and out pretty quickly is my contact solution. Contact solution is essentially a type of saline that keeps your contacts from drying out when they're not in your eyes. After I started wearing my contacts more I started to have an allergic reaction to the contact solution I was using. Since then, I've switched brands, and it seems to be going just fine now.

Thanks for your support!
