2 Month Resolution Update

Resolution 1: Save up the money that I need to be able to pay for my Housing and Textbooks for the 16-17 school year on my own.

As you know already, I got a promotion at work so I don't have to keep looking for that second job! With this new job, I have high hopes of being able to save up about a third of the cost of my housing and textbooks. I'm staying here at school for Spring Break in about a week, so I'll be able to log lots of hours then because I won't have anything else to do that whole week.

Resolution 2: DRINK MORE WATER!!!!!

I've been using the Plan Nanny app, which is a free app in the apple app store. It seems really silly, because keeping a digital plant alive by drinking water may not seem very motivating... However, it works really well for me! I never thought that I'd be able to keep the plant alive because I couldn't even keep my Tomagachi alive as a kid! In the app, you put in your height, weight, and level of activity and it tells you how much water you should drink in a day. You can enter in different sizes of water bottle or coffee cups and things like that, and it'll record everything for you! I'm not gonna lie... I have killed my plant a few times this month, but I've been much better about keeping up with the water that I need!

Resolution 3: Read at least 20 books  by the end of the year.

You already know that I'm failing at this one so far... I've only read one book! I'm reading a book right now, I just don't have very much time to because I've had to read for my classes and I'm not counting those books because I didn't choose them... I know, excuses excuses! I'll hopefully finish the book I'm reading this month!

Resolution 4: Clean my dorm room every Saturday

Surprisingly enough, I've actually kept up with this one throughout February! This so far has had the biggest impact on my normal day to day life because having a clean room helps keep me from tearing my hair out over homework and life. I may not get my math done, but at least my room looks like something out of a Magazine! (Just kidding... I always get my math done.... ;)

Resolution 5: Stop eating after 9pm

This one has been a lot harder for me in February because I've been staying up a lot later than I usually do. I mainly brake this resolution on Wednesdays because I have a lab that goes until 9, so I typically don't get dinner beforehand because it's too early, so I'll eat around 9:30 just so I'm not starving when I start working on any homework that I have left. For the most part, I've been doing my best with this one!

Resolution 6: Snack less, eat actual meals more.

This one I was actually really successful with this past month! When I ate actual meals, I wasn't big into snacking. At the most, I'd eat a bag of popcorn and that would be all! Before I was snacking so much that I was never hungry enough at a meal time to be able to eat an actual meal. I was just eating continuously throughout the day. I think I'll be a lot healthier eating more than just snack foods like chips and candy bars and cookies.

How have you been keeping up with your resolutions? I'd love to know how you guys are achieving your resolutions!
