12 Month Resolution Update (LAST UPDATE)

Resolution 1: Save up the money that I need to be able to pay for my Housing and Textbooks for the 16-17 school year on my own

I did actually complete this one! I haven't actually purchased my textbooks for next semester yet, but based on the average costs of textbooks I've got enough to be able to buy/rent them! I'm really proud of myself, and in my ability to pay for this (mostly) on my own. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to continue to pay for my housing and textbooks while I'm in school.

Resolution 2: DRINK MORE WATER!!!!!!

I was at home for most of December, so I was really good about remembering to drink water. I also noticed that, on the days I didn't drink as much, I felt a lot thirstier more often. I guess my body is used to being hydrated and has started reminding me when I'm not drinking enough! I have to say that this was one of the best resolutions I could have made. Over the course of the year I felt a lot better being more hydrated.

Resolution 3: Read at least 20 books by the end of the year

Yeah... 8 books is not the same as 20..... This was the one resolution I wasn't able to keep up with. School is definitely the main reason I didn't keep up with it - especially since I didn't count books I read for school in my count.

Resolution 4: Clean my Dorm Room every Saturday

I kept up with this one in December, partly because I was at home for most of December... Hahaha
This resolution was really helpful at keeping me from getting overwhelmed. I'm the kind of person who would get so stressed about my schoolwork that all I'd be able to do is clean - which is bad because then I don't do the schoolwork that's stressing me out! I've been able to keep the place clean so that I don't have to worry about procrastinating by cleaning.

Resolution 5: Stop Eating after 9pm

Since I've been working in the booth 3 nights a week I haven't been as good about this one this past month... I get home around 9:30, so that's when I've been eating. The main reason I decided on this resolution was because I was getting "heartburn" which I later found out was my gall bladder. However, I think late night eating is a habit I don't want to have.

Resolution 6: Snack less, eat actual Meals more

This one was easier in December because I was at home for several weeks of it. When I was still up at school, I was okay about it, but a lot of the time I would go with quick foods that I could microwave rather than actually making meals... However, I think that in 2016 as a whole I was really good about making food and remembering to eat well. For a college student, I don't think I did half bad at it!
