My Favorite Skincare Products

I've been wanting to put this post up for a while now, and I've finally gotten around to it! I'm not being paid at all to talk about these products, they're actually my current favorite skincare products. Stick around, and be sure to let me know what you think of them too!

When I first heard about Micellar Water I was really skeptical. I didn't think that it would work as well as people were saying it did, and I thought that it would irritate my skin if I did use it because pretty much every product except for the one I was already using would upset my skin.

Once when I was at the store with one of my friends she convinced me to grab a bottle to try, and after I started using it I never wanted to go back.

It doesn't irritate my skin at all, and it does a much better job a removing all of my makeup than the product that I was using before. It also feels really nice on my skin, and there's no need to wash it off which saves me a lot of time!

Now I know it may not seem worth it because of the size of the bottle verses the cost, but one bottle does last a really long time. A little bit goes a lot way with this product, and it really gets the job done.

So if you haven't tried it yet, I would highly recommend that you check it out!

Now I'm one of those scaly people whose skin really dries out if I'm not paying attention. CeraVe makes many different types of lotions and creams for different levels of dryness, as well as a face specific lotion. When it comes to keeping my skin hydrated, this is the product that I reach for every single time. One tub like the one pictured above lasts me for an extremely long time, because once again, a little bit of this product goes a long way.

Another thing that's super great about it is that it's unscented. When put on already chapped or dry skin it doesn't hurt at all, which is a major plus. I also like that it's unscented because then I can wear a perfume and not worry about the two smells competing.

I personally prefer the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for Normal to Dry Skin because I've found that it works the best for me. Especially since it's made for people with sensitive skin as well as dry skin, so there's no risk of irritation.

I had a hard time getting a good photo of this product because I've already used so much of it. This was a product that I bought because I felt kind of obligated to.. Haha Which sounds kind of bad. The sales woman was really excited about it, and she was sure that I would love it, and she was completely right. It's the Mary Kay Timewise Night Solution. I normally put it on before bed after I've put on my CeraVe cream, and I want up to such beautiful looking skin in the morning. Like with the other products, it doesn't irritate my skin at all, which is super great. I'd highly recommend this to someone looking for a some kind of night cream or serum. It's definitely worth the cost.

This is no surprise, but I love wearing lipstick, especially matte lipstick which can be really drying. When I'm not wearing lipstick and I'm trying to get some hydration back in my lips, my lip balm of choice is Dr. Dan's Cortibalm. It doesn't have any really color or smell, and to be honest it doesn't taste particularly nice, but when it comes to hydrated, healthy lips I always go for Cortibalm. It has 1% Hydrocortisone in it to promote healing in chapped lips in addition to other ultra hydrating products. Using this lip balm, chapped lips are a thing of the past, and I can wear as much matte lipstick as I want!

It's no secret that sheet masks, especially charcoal sheet masks, are really popular at the moment. Well, I jumped on the bandwagon! The Yes To paper masks are really cheap, and there are so many different types. Hydrating masks, soothing masks, acne fighting masks, etc. Plus they're a really good price! I've been doing them all the time, without any skin irritation, and I've been really enjoying it. There's nothing wrong with taking some time to put a slimy piece of paper on your face for 10-15 min of relaxation, especially when it helps your skin feel so nice!

I think a paper mask is the best way to go for a pamper evening because it doesn't require any rubbing or rinsing to take off, you simply remove the paper mask and throw it away. Paper masks are really easy too, and when they work as well as the Yes To masks you can't go wrong with them for a relaxing time.

I'd love to know what you think about these products if you've tried them, or if there are any other products you think I'd like. I'll see you on Thursday!

  1. I use the Micellar Cleansing Water by Garnier, and really love it! I have not tried any other products here though. The Mary Kay Timewise Night Solution looks good and I do love a face mask!
