My Scope - A Gall Bladder Follow Up - Update

Hello Again! This is just a little bit of an update about life after getting my gall bladder out!

As it turns out, there are some people whose bodies don't adapt very well to life without a gall bladder, and of course I fall into that group.

I'd been having a lot of digestion issues, and when I met with my surgeon he wasn't entirely sure what was going on. At that point, he said that if I hadn't had my gall bladder out he would have though it was a gluten allergy. So he wanted me to go in for a scope - where I'm put under and a camera on a long, wiggly thing is put down into my digestive system.

Well the scope couldn't have gone better, and he was able to determine what was wrong and give me a prescription for a medication that's actually been helping me quite a bit! The only downside is that the medication tastes absolutely awful and there's the potential of having to take it for the rest of my life if my body doesn't ever adjust correctly.

At this point in my life, I'm not bothered by having to take it especially because it's helping me feel so much better and I don't feel restricted in what I can and can't eat.
